The Hamilton building refurbishment is progressing at Plant & Food Research’s Mt. Albert Campus. Three levels of curtain wall glazing are complete!

The team had an exciting and informative site visit to Plant and Food Research in Mt Albert. The refurbishment is coming along nicely, with the top level complete, and levels 3, 4 and 5 underway currently. The curtainwall glazing which is going up means even more space from which to appreciate the fantastic views over the city.

The refurbishment of Plant and Food Research’s Hamilton Building in Mt Albert is making great progress.

They are in the process of removing the spandrels which enclose the old services, to make way for curtain wall glazing.


Last week the office visited Plant and Food Research, Mt Albert, where the Hamilton building refurbishment is currently underway, we spied some great views from that height.




The refurbishment to the Hamilton building is well underway, the removal of the spandrels signals the start of a radical change to the façade of the building, enlivening and future-proofing the 48 year old complex.

The refurbishment of the Cunningham Building at Plant and Food Research’s Mt Albert Campus is nearly complete, and will be opening on the 27th August. There has been an extensive interior refit, and minor work on the exterior of this art deco style  building.
