We are delighted to announce that our Associate Finn Scott has recently achieved NZIA Registration. Finn is a major contributor to our office and is currently working on many exciting projects, including the Expo2020 pavillion, a sculptural insitu white concrete house in Auckland, a Visitor Centre for Mangemangeroa Reserve, two apartment buildings under construction in the Vinegar Lane development , and a large house on Takapuna Beach. Bossley Architects is delighted to be shortlisted for the NZ Pavilion at Expo2020 in Dubai. We are part of a team with GHD Woodhead, Workshop e, and Thoughtfull.
Four other teams are also shortlisted.

 

Te Awahou opening: a fantastic day on Saturday…..a couple of hundred people for the 4am dawn ceremony…then thousands of people turned out for the opening ceremony….great weather…..great events and speeches and performances….then the doors opened and they flooded in. Everyone very impressed and seemed blown away by it all. It has been 9 years since we started this project so it is a major to see it finally opening.

Pete during his talk at the Auckland Build Expo last week

Pete will be speaking at the Auckland Build Expo on the 2nd November. He will discuss
– the significance of geology and landscape
– the development of Encampments to create unique residential projects
– using natural light to animate spaces by incorporating New Zealand’s highly active skyscapes.

Pete will discuss these ideas whilst showing many projects ranging from houses to museums, apartments to the new Park Hyatt Hotel currently under construction on Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour. You can register for tickets here
